It begins:
We are launching this blog in the middle of the Pandemic (real not game). Check out how to play Pandemic. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RxqzBA_HRs).
I am following the “rules” of the real Pandemic game. I am washing hands. I am trying to stay 6 feet away from my husband. I am staying home. I am finding that this is a great time for game development ideas. People ask me how I came up with 7bloxup game. I say “Pampered Chef”. It began in my basement, with me sorting Pampered Chef items into bags. I thought “How did I learn to sort?” Then I realized I learned that in Kindergarten with blocks. Over the course of the next two years 7bloxup was born.
So if this blog was beyond incubation stage, what would it contribute to the emerging stay at home culture? Yes, of course we can all play on-line games. (https://games.aarp.org/category/all-games) But, this is also a good time to learn a new tabletop game. Many people have games they have never played. So, when you finally clean that closet and find a game you bought eons ago; try learning it. Many games have video instruction, see Pandemic above. Possibly, you can find a way to gather a small group of friends via zoom or google hangouts and teach them to play a new game. You would have to do all the moving, unless they have the exact same game. This is like chess by mail. Check out this interesting Chess by Mail video from 2007.
